Memoir Challenge
I read Free Lunch by Rex Ogle and through my chart, you can see connections I made between Ogle's, the main character, situation and the typical young adolescent and what and why they are going through what they are.

Podcast Challege
Here you can listen to our recap on Learning For Justice Podcast, Queer America. Sara McDonough, Jason Chen, Cienna Cooper, and I all share our thoughts on the podcast and connect it to our TCH 130 class. There is a section that is slightly difficult to hear and below you can listen to the transcript for that.

Cienna: I definitely found this podcast to be more informative rather than controversial compared to the other groups and it really gave me some insight into the bigger picture of LGBTQ+ history.
Maddy: Honestly, when I first started listening to the podcast I had a lot of questions from how can I incorporate LGBTQ history into a math or science lesson to how can knowing about “Boston marriages” make me a better middle school teacher. As I continued to listen, I realized that this podcast is more about identity and knowing how to make every student feel comfortable with what they are starting to identify with. In What every middle school teacher should know, there is like half a chapter all about identity and how important this time is for young adolescents in finding themselves.
